Having read Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin and then seeing that Kate Hudson was cast in the role of Darcy, I was a little skeptical about how this film was going to translate to the silver screen the way I had envisioned it. However, Luke Greenfield did a lovely job and Kate Hudson was meant to play the superficial, over-confident and outrageous character. Also, by including the character of Ethan (played by John Krasinski) as a more prominent figure in the film, rather than being in London, England, which he is in the book, Something Borrowed was hysterically entertaining! Ginnifer Goodwin was precious as Rachel and her on-screen chemistry with Colin Egglesfield (*drools*), who played Dex, was undeniable. They made the simplest gesture of holding hands seem like the ultimate act of affection. I am in love with this movie and if you are looking for something that will have you leave the theater in a positive mood, then this is a movie for you!
