The Golden Globes 2012 Winners

Well there were definitely some worthy wins, but also (in my biased mind) some films and performances undeserving of their awards. I am not trying to say that George Clooney and the film The Descendants were unworthy of the accolades they received, however I just felt that Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender’s performances were much more stimulating than Clooney’s, and I personally favour Hugo over The Descendants. However, there were some great wins by Meryl Streep, who was somehow surprised that her Goddess status was recognized in The Iron Lady, Octavia Spencer won for her moving role in The Help, and I was over the moon with joy for Christopher Plummer’s win for Beginners, which I called back in the summer when I saw the film. He is such an incredible gem of a human being (sorry to sound like a juvenile teen when it comes to describing my admiration for him, but seriously, he is a precious man!) That being said, here are the winners from this years Golden Globes, the show that foreshadows the upcoming Academy Awards on February 26th, 2012.
