Dead for 50 years and the world still cannot get enough of one of the most captivating silver screen icons in history. August 5th, 1962, the world lost a woman who sought out Hollywood and concretized her place in history as an engaging actress, who when on-screen one could not tear their eyes away from her, and the ultimate sex symbol. It is just unfortunate that Marilyn Monroe’s troubled life and apparent suicide, along with her failed relationships with the very high-profile men in her life, has been a constant focus of the ravishing stars life and her struggles aroused sympathy and interest amongst her fans and critics alike, no doubt helping to raise Marilyn Monroe’s status as a legendary figure. She is timeless. The model of glamour. The epitome of beauty.

Interesting fact, Marilyn Monroe’s appearance in the first issue of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy as the first Playmate helped define the future of glamour photography.
